What is Breakout?
Price escaping a defined level or range — genuine when backed by displacement and volume, a trap when it is a sweep.
A breakout is a move in which price escapes a defined boundary — a range edge, a support or resistance level, a pattern line — and begins trading beyond it. A genuine breakout signals that the balance has resolved and one side has taken control, often starting a new trend leg. Breakout trading is popular because the entries are obvious and the moves, when they are real, can be fast and rewarding from the very first candle.
The problem is that obvious entries attract obvious stops, and the market feeds on them. A large fraction of apparent breakouts are liquidity sweeps: price pierces the level, fills the breakout buyers and triggers resting stops, then reverses back inside. The clues that separate the two are candle closes beyond the level rather than wicks, displacement with an imbalance left behind, expanding volume, and a successful retest that holds. Many professional traders skip the initial break entirely and only trade the retest — sacrificing some profit on the true breakouts to avoid the majority of the false ones.
Roman Urdu mein
Breakout woh hai jab price kisi level ya range se bahar nikal jati hai. Lekin har breakout asli nahi hota — bohat se sirf liquidity sweep hote hain jo stops le kar wapas mur jate hain. Asli breakout ki pehchan: level ke paar candle close, displacement, aur retest ka hold hona. Samajhdar trader aksar pehli break chhor kar retest ka intezar karta hai.
