Economic Calendar in Pakistan Time (PKT)

Scheduled news is the one market risk you can see coming. Central bank decisions, inflation prints and employment reports are announced weeks in advance — yet every release day, traders get stopped out by moves they could have simply stepped aside from.

This calendar shows the week's high and medium-impact events already converted to Pakistan Standard Time, so there is no UTC math between you and the schedule. It refreshes automatically throughout the day.

How professionals use the calendar

The discipline is defensive, not predictive. Before every session, check what is scheduled for the currencies you trade. In the minutes around a red (high-impact) release, spreads widen violently, stops fill with slippage, and structure means little — so the standard protocol is simple: no new entries in the window before the release, and manage or flatten exposure on the affected pairs.

We teach students to treat the calendar as part of the pre-session checklist, alongside marking structure and liquidity. The goal is never to guess the number — it is to make sure a scheduled event never surprises a live position.

Which events matter most

For USD pairs and gold: the Federal Reserve rate decision and press conference, CPI inflation, and Non-Farm Payrolls move the most. For other majors, each currency's central bank decision and inflation print lead. Medium-impact events matter mainly when they cluster or when the market is already positioned nervously.

Remember that the reaction depends on the number versus the forecast, not the number alone — and first reactions frequently sweep liquidity in one direction before the real move. That behaviour is exactly why we advise trading the structure that forms after the release, not the release itself.

Frequently asked questions

What time is forex news released in Pakistan?

Most high-impact US news lands between 17:30 and 19:00 PKT (US session), while UK and European releases typically arrive between 11:00 and 14:00 PKT. This calendar converts every event to Pakistan Standard Time automatically.

What do high and medium impact mean?

Impact ratings estimate how much volatility a release usually causes. High-impact (red) events like rate decisions, CPI and Non-Farm Payrolls can move a pair dozens of pips in seconds; medium-impact (orange) events move markets mainly when they surprise or cluster together.

Should I trade during news releases?

Most professional traders avoid entering new positions in the minutes around high-impact news: spreads widen, slippage grows and technical levels are unreliable. A common approach is to wait for the volatility to settle and trade the structure that forms afterwards.

How often does this calendar update?

The feed refreshes roughly every 15 minutes and shows this week's remaining high and medium-impact events. Always verify exact times close to a major release, as schedules occasionally shift.
