What is London Session?

The highest-volume forex session, roughly 12:00-21:00 PKT — where the day's real direction is usually decided.

The London session is the heavyweight of the forex day. When European banks and funds come online — roughly 12:00 to 21:00 Pakistan time — volume surges, spreads compress, and the market typically makes its first decisive directional move. A very large share of all global forex turnover passes through London, which is why so many trading strategies, including most smart-money approaches, are built specifically around what London does with the levels the Asian session left behind.

One London pattern is worth knowing early: the session frequently opens by sweeping the Asian range — running the stops resting above its high or below its low — before committing to the real move of the day. Traders who buy the first breakout often become the liquidity for that move. The London open and the first few hours after it are prime kill-zone hours for setups, and for Pakistani traders they arrive comfortably in the early afternoon.
